Well I'm only aware of two major ones. the 767-400's wing tip which I hear is reducing drag, the other is the cockpit commentality with the 777s. I understand Boeing modified the 767-300s with the 777 style interior now, I was woundering why not add those 764s features to the 763s? It certinly would make it attractive to airlines with 777s. or even as a airforce tanker or a cargo. what's every one's opinion on this?

Parts and training commonality, as CanadianNorth mentioned, I think are the two biggest reasons, with a close third being development costs (vs expected gains). Most airlines that operate the classic 767's in substantial numbers have all of them that they're going to have, and have had them for a considerable amount of time. Spares have been built up for the current avionics.
If the cockpits were to be modified, it'd require the pilots to be retrained, and whole new training courses/references/etc to be drawn up at significant cost. Also, it'd require an entirely different avionics software--which, if I'm not mistaken, would mean a painstaking TSO/STC certification process. It just doesn't seem to be cost-effective for the benefits gained.
Air is modifying the cockpits of the 767s that are coming online to a more "modern" display, though I am 99% sure it's its own type, not a 777-esque design. Since the 767 is relatively young in their fleet and they are not so numerous, it seems to be a cost-effective solution.
OTOOH (I know, I know...that's three hands)...
Didn't Delta, at one point, say they wanted to put the 777/767-400 in the same bid category? It seems that somewhere along the line they wanted to standardize as many aircraft as possible. I haven't heard anything of that recently, though.
