Did JAL Have Any PW JT9D-7R4G2 Passenger 747 200?

Mon Jul 03, 2006 7:14 am

I was looking up JAL current fleet inventory, and notice that there 747 200F and passenger 747 300 had JT9D-7R4G2 but there passenger 747 200 has JT9D-7Q. So my question is did JAL ever had a passenger 747 200 that was powered by JT9D-7R4G2?

PS: If so, why have under power passenger 747 200?

JAL doesn't require the -7R4G2 for the sectors their -200s fly. That's probably the most simple explanation.
