IL-76 Maintenance Training

Mon Aug 21, 2006 4:59 pm

Hi all,
First time post to the forums as I have just joined.
Been lurking around and reading the posts for a while tho.

I would like to ask if anyone can help with the details of where Engineering Training Courses can be obtained for IL-76TD.

What is required is that 2-3 management staff of a newly forming transport company (in process as we speak) are requiring a Ground Handling Course for this aircraft.
The people are actually management staff (Engineering, QA, etc) that are to get a basic idea of the aircraft, its systems, operation for an understanding and overall appreciation of the aircraft.

I look forward to replies and suggestions.
If anyone wants to contact me outside the forum, I welcome you to email me at craig@aerosuppliespartner.com

Thank you
Craig

While I'm not sure, your best bet would probably be Russia, or most of the ex Soviet Union countries.

Has to be some Ex USSR state thats Approved.
Try contacting some IL76 operators & maybe they'll have an Approved training school.

Thank you for the replies.

Still looking for Training Centers or operators that offer courses or training.
Other option is to initially locate or obtain training material to go thru for appreachiation of the aircraft. This would be a start.

Thanks

I know that the CAA keep a list of Approved Training Schools (Part 147 Approved) and the courses that they run (Both basic & type courses).

Perhaps if you contacted EASA or the JAA they'd have a list for the whole of europe?
