Relief Crew And Logging Hours.

Wed Nov 29, 2006 12:41 am

Ok,

On long haul you usually have a relief crew onboard.
How does the logging work in regards to the hours if you are below/upstairs resting?

Are you logging the whole leg in your book, or only the hours you actually active in the cockpit?

Thanks.

If I remember correctly the designated commander will log the whole flight (since he's PIC for the whole flight, even while asleep), but the rest of the crew only log the time spent at the controls.
Statistically, people who have had the most birthdays tend to live the longest.
