Are Delta MD88 Powered By JT8 217 Or 219

Sun Dec 03, 2006 8:37 am

I saw Delta MD80 take off from Norfolk International Airport a few time. I wonder or those JT8 217 or 219 that is pushing them? If they or 219, then the larger fan has not cut down on take off noise.

PS That's a good thing!  Big grin

Thank you, and I will enjoy hearing your company's MD88 take off. Big grin They sound better than Southwest 737's and US Airway 737 400 and CRJ 200/700/900 anyday.
