AA 757 Experimental

Mon Jan 01, 2007 2:44 pm

Im moveing this off the mainboard to here,,, can anyone answer what this is...

was looking at some of the a/c photos into Bna and found this.... can some one shed any light what this means....

N173AN (cn 32399/1005) Not a normal site at BNA - this rather dirty 752 replaced an MD-83 on a regularly scheduled DFW-BNA-DFW flight. According to the FAA, this aircraft was built in 2002 and holds an airworthiness certificate type of 'experimental' and is approved for 'research and development' operations. Interesting

To be honest, I think it's just a case of the FAA website being outdated. It couldn't be used to haul passengers/freight in an experimental category. If you look at the registry website http://registry.faa.gov/aircraftinqu...t=173AN&cmndfind.x=20&cmndfind.y=8
You'll see it had a temp certificate that was valid from 3/2002-4/2002.
