LOL

Would you say by the end of 2007, or somewhere in 2008?

Why. Is there a suggested replacement being discussed currently.

They are still flying the heck out of their passenger 742's. It seems to me they would want to phase those out first. That could just be the wishful passenger in me.

I think that it will be another 12 plus years. (Sarcasm) The DC-9 will certainly pick those pilots up prior to their freighter conversion at which time the DC-9 will begin it's 40 year career at NW as a freighter and this will follow with 15 years as a jet trainer before they finally relegate the DC-9 to strictly crew ferries for 5 years and last but not least they will begin making soda cans out of the DC-9 to use on flights over and over and over again thus making the DC-9 the only one of two sub atmoshphereic jet in existance serving in one shape or another around the world. And than finally NWA will retire the 747 freighters but only partially. They will continue to serve as fire trainers for at least 50 years. (Do not lynch me or tell me I am a fool, this is in humor)

Cheers!!
