I don't believe the -100 had nose wheel brakes. Only the -200 did and I think it was an option not standard issue.
As Amtrosie said, the nose wheel brakes were available as a customer option on all 727's. In fact the majority of them were installed on the -100 but were removed over time due to the extra maintenance involved with little return. The nose wheel brakes required an extra anti-skid unit as well as the brake assemblies and associated plumbing. The removal of the system shaved about 200 lbs off the empty weight of the aircraft.
The last 727 to have nose wheel brakes in service was an ex-Pacific Western 727-171C registered C-FPXD (yes, I worked on it). After Pacific Western it was flown by Echo Bay Mines/Corp Air and went on to First Air in YOW
. It's now flying with TAAG Angola Airlines.
