Question About The PW4000-94

Is there anyone who know what differentiates the PW4052, PW4056, PW4060, PW4062, PW4062A, PW4152, PW4156A, PW4156, PW4158, PW4460, PW4462 from each other? If they are all based on the PW4000-94, there must be some small to moderate differences in each of them to justify issuing them a separate model number, but what are those differences? I could find no literature explains the differences between the aforementioned models.

Anyone who knows what the differences are, or knows a website which explains the differences between them, please let me know.

It's entirely possible that the only difference is the thrust programming plug. Since the models are used on Airbus, MD's, and Boeing's there is probably some build-up differences between the PW40xx, PW41xx, and PW44xx, but within those families it should just be different thrust ratings.

This is fairly normal. The CFM56-7B engines are all identical except the thrust programming plug.

The second digit designates the airframe manufacturer.

0= Boeing

1= Airbus

2= Russian

4= McDonnell Douglas

The third and fourth digits are the engines thrust rating.

The reason that there is no PW4360, is because of the R-4360 used on the B-36 and B-50.
