Sun May 31, 2009 6:53 am

Apart from the list of Aircraft/Engine related Manuals. There are numerous other Non Technical Manuals that are available for access to Employees of Maintenance.

These can be:-
Maintenance Organisation Exposition. [MOE]
Human Factors In Maintenance Manual [HFM]
Production planning control manual [PPC]
Materials manual [MM]
Human resource deppartment manual [HRD]
Engineering Maintenance and training procedures manual [EMTP]

How is it in other places. This is based on CAR145.

The most common non-technical maintenance manual that comes to mind is the IPC, or Illustrated Parts Catalog. This is the OEMs listing of part in assy's/subassy's/etc. There's also the Master Minimum Equipment List (MMEL) and Configuration Deviation List (CDL), both of which are required. There are many others, but they mainly are associated with the flight crew.

True The MEL is non Technical & required by Mx too. However the Docs listed in post #1 specify regulations of a company policy.
What I was interested in knowing was do AMT/AMEs in other places need to have gone through these documents at work on a regular basis.
