Long Haul Widebody Casm

Tue Oct 20, 2009 2:39 pm

Hey all,

I'm trying to do a rough calculation if it is somewhat feasible to operate current 737's/A320's accross the atlantic. I won't go into detail (yet) as it is very rough.

What I am looking for are CASM figures for (legacy) carriers and specifically their long haul operations. through the SEC filings I have found CASM figures for both short haul LCC and mainline CASM of legacy carriers, but I have been unable to find any numbers just for the long haul operations.

Can one of you steer me in the right direction of where to look?

Hi Jurgen! Are you primarily interested in ONLY legacy airlines that operated 737/A320 eqpt? If so then I'm assuming you would have to look at their interstate figures/routes? Of the big 6 (UAL/COA/DAL/NWA/AAL/USA) this shouldn't be too hard to work out.
Anyway, I don't know if this is of any help but it's a start....
