FMS Time Value Question

Tue Nov 03, 2009 5:14 pm

Hi,

I have been wondering on how the FMS calculates the time and I noticed in some of the pics here below that some have the time as 0838.1Z or 1952.9Z.

What does the .1 mean or the .9?
Is that the number of seconds or what?

Please help.

Thanks.

Fractions of a minute. 0.1 = 6 seconds, 0.9 = 54 seconds.

So each point or fraction would be 5 seconds apart???

So the time is actually calculated in each 5 seconds from the FMS?
