B744 -v- B748i Cockpit - Differences?

I was looking at this photo in Flight International about the 747-8's chief pilot and (with all due respect to him!), my attention was drawn to the cockpit in which he was sitting:

It looks like the 748i's cockpit is very similar to the 744; the only difference I can see is the central display, in front of the throttles. Does it have a CCD, a la 777? Also, is it expected that existing 744 pilots would be able (a) to have a common rating, or (b) to make the conversion in fairly quick time, similar to conversions between various Airbus types?

I thought that the 748 flight deck also employed the Flight Bags that the 777/787 families use. Maybe I'm mistaken but I'm pretty sure.
