I need some help on identifying parts in the hot/cold section of the engine. This should be relatively basic for those of you in the know!
Am I right in saying that the hot section consists of the combuster, high pressure turbine and low pressure turbine?
And that the cold section includes the inlet, low pressure compressor and high pressure compressor?
I am also trying to estimate what percent of maintenance spend to allocate to each segment. Current data suggests 70% for hot section and 30% for cold section. Does that sound about right?
