Question: E170/E190 Business Class

Tue Aug 03, 2010 12:54 pm

Does anyone know if it is possible to easily add or remove Business Class and Y Class Seats in the E170/190 family? For example is there a simple installation kit or can the seat tracks accommodate quick changes?

Quoting Tangowhisky (Thread starter):

Very easy and no 'major' modification to the seat tracks are need. The only thing is the center isle floor board is a little stiffer then those under the seats to handle the foot traffic... and the LH overhead bids are different. You could take a single class aircraft and convert it to duel class in about 48hrs.. provided you have all the parts on-hand when you start.

EMBQA provided a good answer, but just to add I know our aircraft have the same PSU on both sides regardless. There are two lights/gasper vents above the 1st class seats and two O2 masks as well.
