There's just a special towbar and that is all ? I wonder how it works then.

The Tow Bar hooks up to the Upper (non rotating) section of both NLG oleos. The power steering is placed in bypass so the oleos will caster and you tow/push back as required. The bar is a y shaped unit 2 hook up points for the a/c and single hook up for the tug. The AN124 crews I've worked with are pretty efficient at getting the bar offloaded and hooked up when needed and re stowed once tow complete. I've had to do a few tows and pushbacks due to lost pilots going the wrong way down taxiways.

Would I be correct in assuming that one can't make as sharp a turn with the double nose gear?
Why do Aerospace Engineering students have to turn things in on time?

I've taken the bar to 25 degrees or so, you can probably go further. With the wingspan and length of the Ruslan you run out of space in a hurry so small turns and slow driving is pretty standard.

BMI727, If I got WrenchBender speech correctly the 2 (apologize) "legs" of the steering nose landing gear aren't turning either way. the wheels only are, "in axis" with their sustaining leg, sorry for improper use of terms but I think you got my point.
One or two that they are you can almost have the aircraft turning on a needle pin, assuming there are no locks for a 180' turn.

747400sp you're welcome, always nice reading somebody say thanks.
