Is Anyone Working For AA's College Recruitment

Fri Jan 28, 2011 3:38 pm

Hello. I am very interested in a few jobs offered by AA's College Recruitment program. I will be graduating from college in May with a Business Technology and Management Degree and will be moving to DFW shortly after that. During spring break I will be visiting DFW. Is it a good idea to try and contact AA to see if I can get an interview/tour/meeting with someone? I spoke to one a.net member who worked for AA doing this program, and he was very helpful, but I was wondering if anyone else had. Comments, suggestions? Thanks!!

My reading of the AA College Recruitment Program is that is is nothing more than the usual employer/potential employee recruitment "tour" that the vast majority of major corporations partake in.

You can find current AA/AE/AMR employment info at AAcareers.com. It doesn't hurt to seek early contact with potential employers prior to graduation. If you gain just a little more insight into the potential employer... that is always a good thing. And the earlier the better, IMHO.

Thanks for that info, AAR90. I guess if I can just find a job with AA (either recruitment program or not), it would be great. If I were to address a letter, do you know any specific names? Thought I'd ask...
Thanks.

Don't forget Southwest if you are in Dallas as they are always hiring as they slowly grow.

If things keep turning around and oil doesn't get out of hand, maybe that'll change. I'm one of the ones on the outside looking in at AA hoping to have a chance to fly for you guys someday.

Thanks for the laugh. Better change that user name though.

Hey it has to be better than where I am now. Besides, I'm thinking of being a comedian on my days off. Username was made when I was a wee lad. Doesn't necessarily hold true anymore.

I found a job that I am very interested in, I just don't want to "ruin" anything by applying too early.. I'd be available to work end of May...
