Allegiant Scheduling

Fri Feb 04, 2011 12:51 am

Recently I had family fly PIE-FWA on Allegiant, with significant delays both directions, each time. It appears that about 75% of the time that flight ends up with the short straw and is waiting for an aircraft to shuttle over from SFB for the evening round trip.

The flight attendants, being very frustrated, also commented that "this" flight more than others seems to get that short straw. Is Allegiant over-scheduling aircraft? Mx issues taking longer than expected? Anyone with any insight? Thanks!
