LHR-SIN Routes

Fri Jun 10, 2011 10:12 pm

Right now SQ321 enroute LHR-SIN is crossing the Netherlands coast over Den Haag. Right now QF10 LHR-SIN is on a more southerly route that will take it over FRA. Why would they take different routes to the same place at the same time?

Funny, The exact opposite of what was going on in that thread is happening tonight. SQ going way up north and QF to the south. And it looks like they basically took off within minutes of each other.

Actually I just looked again at it looks like they both are going in a more easterly direction with the SQ 380 going over Berlin and the QF 380 over Prague. So they are really not that far apart.

Both A380's at FL350. The QF one is currently 10 to 15 Kts faster, also very similar headings. It will be interesting to see which one gets to SIN first.

The QF aircraft departed 28R at 2136Z and turned left. SQ departed next at 2138 and turned right. Any bets on who gets to SIN first ?

They are now approaching the Ukriane border and SQ is heading a more southerly direction toward the QF plane. There is a BA777 two planes behind the QF 380 also going to SIN.
