Looking For Boeing 767 Ldg Bay Photos

Thu Mar 08, 2012 1:29 pm

Hi all,

I am searching for Boeing 767 (any version) nose and main landing gear bay photos, I need to know if the left/right/front/rear "walls" are vertical or angled, ceiling is horizontal, angled or with a step. Can anybody help? Photos are a must    as I am also interested in seeing the wiring/plumbing path or routing. My email is seven4seven4ever at yahoo.com.

Thank you guys a lot in advance   !

Cheers, Steven

Hello 2H4,

Thank you, I already have that photo in a larger format, but it is still vague in showing the bay architecture and wiring/plumbing routing.

Same for the video, I have been searching and searching on YouTube for walkarounds but nothing conclusive

Thanks anyway. So, no 767 mechanics around?

Regards, Steven

Hello David,

Hell yes!!! Thank you very much for these 2 photos, exactly what I was looking for. It looks like both bays are not symetrical, good thing you posted these photos.

By chance, would you have photos of the nose bay (such as L/R "walls" and ceiling) and the main bay's ceilings?

Thank you in advance!

Steven

Structurally the bays would be near if not 100% symmetrical. The upper picture shows the center web and aft face of the R/H well where as the lower picture shows the center web and the forward face of the L/H well.

Yes, structurally they appear almost symmetrical, what struck me were the wiring or accessories such as the big plumbing present only in the L/H well and the green accumulator (if that is) only in the R/H well. Anyway it helps me a lot, I am about to nail down both wheel well's structure.

Another 2 questions though   :

- R/H wheel well (upper photo): it looks like the aft face or "wall" (at the left of the photo) is not vertical but slightly angled, is this correct? It looks to be too much angled to be considered an optical illusion.

- L/H wheel well (lower photo): is the forward face or "wall" (again at the left of the photo) actually the structure of the wing's rear spar?

Now I need to find nose wheel well photos.

Thanks a lot for your replies and help   , it is really cool, it is for a modelling project actually.

Cheers, Steven

Not sure if it is helpful, but http://airlinercafe.com/page.php?id=100 has a walkaround for the -400. IIRC the main gear on the -400 were a bit different than the 2/300 models. Unfortunately the photographer doesn't get too intimate with the nose gear.
When in doubt, one B pump off

doug_Or, I have that walkaround as well, it is the web site where I posted photos of my 767 model kit. The good thing about this walkaround is that it shows the differences with "regular" 767 main landing gear (they are obvious when both photos are placed side by side). But no nose bay photos   .
