Airline Reservation Systems

Sat Mar 31, 2012 7:48 pm

Apologies if this has been posted before, but how many airline reservation systems are there out there and are there any open source ones, also what operating systems do they run on?

That's all I can think of of the top of my head, but I'm sure there is more. Nothing open source that I know of.

Adding two to the list above:
1. SITA - has a reservation system in 100+ airlines
2. ITA/Google - just implemented their newly developed PSS at Cape Air

Subtracting from the list above:
1. Apollo - founder United just converted to CO's SHARES in March 2012
2. Worldspan - was more of a GDS than an ARS, with founders DL, TW and NW each keeping their ARS
3. Abacus - is a GDS hosted in Sabre
