PON Transmissions

Sun Sep 16, 2012 2:32 pm

Abstract;
"DME operates in the ultrahigh frequency band, between 962 and 1213 MHz, and uses PON transmissions with line-of-sight propagation paths"
Can anybody explain what PON transmissions are?
Thanks
