Test Equipment On MCP/IRIG

Fri Mar 29, 2013 10:40 pm

There is a device quite often seen on test 777 787 747-8 and a few others on top of the MCP. The question has been asked before a couple of times and the general guess its some sort of test equipment which registers various parameters and IRIG time codes. That much is clear or obvious. However does anyone know what the equipment exactly does and what is it called. Maybe those who work in the test flight world can answer this.

Thanks.
