No Wing Exit Markings On A380

Thu Aug 29, 2013 11:08 pm

Any particular reason why? The A318/19/20 does.

The 318/319/320 have the markings because of the window exits. There's a slide off the back of the wing, but passengers have to walk on the wing to get to it. Thus, the need for arrows to show which way to go.

On the 380, you just get onto the slide directly from the door - no walking on the wing necessary.

Which shows what I was talking about - the side is right outside the door.

Compare with the situation on the 320:

I thought he ment the triangular signs above some windows in the cabin, which point out the best place to observe the wing (tips)
There have been some threads and pics about this subject. Will see if I can find them.
oeps ... Misread the top line. It's not about view off the wing as I thought, but about the exit- and direction markings outside. Moderators feel free to delete my post.
