Drones Are Coming:ERAU Offers UAV Masters Degree

Fri Sep 20, 2013 3:34 am

Considering that the very first UAV degree program was only 2 years ago at University of North Dokota, ERAU is already offering a Masters...

Florida college to offer masters degree in drone warfare

Also interesting on the UAV front, Boeing's first "robot helicopter" that continuously looks for suitable landing sites...

The next medevac helicopter won’t need a pilot

How soon before pilot jobs RIP...

A long time.

"Pilots don't want to kill themselves either" is a big factor for people anxious about air travel. It will take decades until travelling public is happy with the idea of flying in an actual pilotless airliner.

Cargo, maybe, as far as commercial air transport is concerned. Singlepilot - I suppose could happen - but I don't think large-scale unpiloted air transport.

Still, support systems for difficult applications (firefighting, medevac) would be a good thing to happen.
