Most Generous Airlines?

Tue Mar 07, 2000 6:43 am

(This Part is off-topic, but I would like you to read it) I just e-mailed Crossair and NWA yesterday and I am awaiting a reply. I made the letters short, and tried to be very polite. Should I have put in phrases like "Your airline is #1"? Or is that not necessary. These are the first airlines I asked. How long should it take for them to reply? If they say "No", should I annoy them with letters until they send?

Okay, here's my point, give me your list of the airlines that said "yes".

If you really want a list of airlines I have got stuff off in the last six months, here goes:

Skywest Airlines
Southern Australia Airlines
Eastern Australia Airlines
Air New Zealand
Ansett New Zealand

In short, try any and every airline you can think of. If you don't hear from them within a reasonable timeframe try them again. But if you try again, say something like, ....back in March 2000 I contacted you regarding memorabilia...I was wondering whether you can help me as I didn't receive a reply.....something like that should do it.

Putting in your airline is #1 is not really necessary...are you gonna say that when you contact Airkenya?

Wow! That's a lot of airlines... what kinds of things do you specifically ask for? Do you ask for specific items in your letters, or just ask for memorabilia in general?

For Japanese airlines, you are best writing or faxing them, as I cannot find email addresses for any of them. Good luck

Aer Lingus is really generous. When I first started collecting, they were the first airline I went to. They sent me safety cards of their whole fleet! Try Aer Lingus first. Their address is aerweb@aerlingus.ie.

Safety cards are the things that you find in the back of the seats that tell you what to do in case of an emergency.
