Since eBay is merely a facilitator of the sale between the seller and the buyer, payment is made directly to the seller. Exact payment arrangements (for example, if they take credit cards) are made directly between buyer and seller.

Ebay Payment

Wed Oct 18, 2000 6:27 am

Hi,
The winning bidder has to send the payment to the seller in the form of cash, personal cheque, postal order - which ever the seller prefurrs.

You can also pay by Billpoint which is a credit card service online for immediate payment - but you have to negociate this with the seller first, some don't accept payment in this form.

Thank You,
Marc Bowers.

Normally sellers accept cash; but don´t expect to find to many sickbags there

DONT PAY CASH!!! it can get lost or stolen in the mail, or the seller can pocket the cash and say it was never received. Pay check or money order if you want to be on the safe side

Hi Ken,
I have made only good experiences with sending cash in over 100 ebay deals; nothing was ever lost. The maximum I sent was 65 $ and it went absolutely smoothly. I have to admit I closely look at a seller´s feedback before bidding.

Thanks.
