I can confirmt that another 64 meg of RAM will be needed for a much smoother experience. Having just 64 you will find will not be enough.

Hi There

700mhz is definitely fast enough, the ram will need to be upgraded though, 64 is barely enough, especially if your running Windows 2000 or ME.

128Mb at a minimum, basically get as much as you can, there's not such thing as too much ram when it comes to FS2000

Microsoft lied when they said that you can run FS2000 on a 133mhz machine. I have a P2 233mhz w/ 64mb RAM and a 32mb TNT2 video card.

Upgrade your computer to 128 ram. Not only will it improve FS2000 performance, but it'll just improve your computer overall.

You've got to be a cruel to be kind.

NO

You need at least 128 RAM and a CPU running at 866mhz to fully appreciate the high quality graphics.

All that matters is mainly your memory and video card. I Run 500mhtz 256RAM Voddoo 3 video card and I can run it at only 90percent. (quality)

Well, from Microsoft's own big mouth back on July 19 2000..

"Among the first titles expected to be published for the Macintosh include the best-selling real-time strategy game "Age of Empires® II: The Age of Kings®," as well as new versions of "Links™ LS" and "Flight Simulator."

Wait For FS2002!

Wed Jan 10, 2001 5:34 pm

Hi all

Anyone who has not bought FS2000 yet........hold off!!

FS2002 is due for release by the end of the year and the graphics and speed are set to rock!!

Combat Flight Simulator 2 is sort of a beta version as to what it will look like, so I have heard anyway.

Haveric,

Your options are limited, you have Fly!2K and X-Plane. I would deffinately reccomend Fly!2K!!! I've tried Fly!2K (MAC), X-Plane (MAC) and FS2000 PE (PC) and I like Fly!2K the best... It is a very accurate simulation. I do like FS2000PE for the multiplayer games: there seem to be more interactive features to FS2K, espicially with SATCO.org . But all around, Fly!2K is the best there is (not just on Mac)...

Thanks,

upgrade your RAM to 128 MB and if Possible get a AGP Video card with minimun 32 Mb of RAM.

Get the New Sound Blaster Card and the Thurstmaster Jostick.

Goto

www.flightsim.com

U will find all the aircraft and sceneries you need.

I have both FS2K and X-plane 5.54 on my PC

Great but will anyone be able to use it?I have a Gateway 700mhz processor and purchased fs2000 and found that the game is slow.Imagine what the new version will require to run smoothly.
