Mine was a British Airways "Delfblue Daybreak" B747-436 1/50 scale  Smile/happy/getting dizzy
my friend works for a major Australian travel company and they were getting the new Union Jack one in so he got me it for $100!!!  Smile/happy/getting dizzy
It's worth around $800-$1000, but i'd never sell it. I've got it in my room and yes it does take up around half of it!

My first one, for civil aviation, was a KLM 767-300 scale 1:144 by Revell. I also have a few other models in 1:144, they're quite big, but I love them.

It was a Navy P-3 Orion which my dad helped me build when I was a kid. 1/144 scale, I think. We didn't paint it, so it was all grey. It met with disaster, as I was quite the tyrant at that age. I remember finding bits and pieces of it buried in the sandbox out behind the house for months to come.  Acting devilish

The first model I ever had was a Wooster snapfit Northwest Airlines 747-400. I'm looking at it right now: it's atop of my computer tower on it's stand, looking quite superior to the American S80 of the same make next to it.

My first ever was a DC9-30 of KLM but I no longer have that one.
Given my name it comes as no surprise that I have currently an ERJ in the livery of American Eagle on my desk and a Delta (old/new) 757.
I normally try to collect only those that I have actually flown on.
I remember when the DC-3 was new!
