Fri Sep 28, 2001 3:10 am

 Smile Hi everyone!  Smile
I just wanted to know how many of you owned a ATC scanner?
Also, where can I buy one from? (In the UK.)

Thanks for your replies!

Well, here in the US, I don't own an ATC scanner, I own a police scanner with the capabilities to pick up ATC, so here in the US, there are probably ATC scanners, but my police scanner picks up almost everything, like TV channels, HAM radio CB's, airliners, ATC, but not radios.

Buy Airliner World or Airways Magazine. There you can find plenty of scanners in UK.

I don't know if they're available overseas, but I have three Radio Shack receivers that pick up ATC (as well as various trunked systems, public service, etc). Mine range from US$80 to $250. If all you want to listen to is ATC, go cheap... that is unless you want military UHF too. You don't need a wide range that you can pick up, nor a thousand programmable channels.
