Anyone Familiar With USAirfix Models?

Wed Oct 03, 2001 4:36 pm

Hello,
I was wondering if any of you are familiar with USAirfix models. Are the kits manufactured in the US with Airfix molds, or do they use completly different ones? If they are different, how do they compare to the Airfix kits?
Thanks for your help

Thanks for your help Doug!
I was asking because I've been looking for the Airfix L-1011 and I just found one made by USAirfix, I just wanted to know if they were the same kit or not.
Thanks again

I don't know if you've heard of MPC, they used to have airliner kits at 1/144 very similar to those of Airfix. I have at home an American 727-200 at 1/144, it's an MPC model kit with the exact same kit as that of the Airfix 727-200 at 1/144, the plastic parts are gray.

Hello Ben
Actually, I wondered about MPC kits too, as I've seen some of those on eBay. Thanks for the information!
