No.

It won't be ported for a while.

X-Plane is a better simulation anyway.

Can't say FS2002 is better yet, we don't know what bugs will be uncovered as in 2000. But I support all Flight Sim Software, I own both Fly!2K for PC and MAC, X-Plane for MAC, and FS2000 for PC. Out of all of them I like features that the others don't incorporate.

Fly!2K: the most realistic panels ever, and realistic dynamics
X-Plane: Shuttle Re-Entry and Mars
FS2000: Multiplayer support and amount of sessions (VATSIM)

MacSoft will port FS2002 but as 'FS2003 FOR MAC' that was purposed to FS2000 just as the Mac version was going to be FS2001. I've read a few articles on this in the past. Don't have the links to them anymore.

But I'm sure it is in the works!

Crank, yes.

X-Plane may not have real scenery like MSFS2002 or as good eye candy but the flight model IS better.

You cannot deny until you have used both, or talked to real pilots who have also used both and see that the aircraft perform way more like how they would in real life in X-Plane than MSFS2002.

Do experimental plane builders use MS Flight Sim to see how their aircraft will perform in certain conditions? No. Because the flight model in MS Flight Sim is not nearly as good as X-Plane.

I Just Bought It!

Fri Oct 19, 2001 10:53 pm

I just bought it!!!!!!!!!!
In Athens, Greece they were indeed some copies at Papasotiriou Multimedia Store.

I was the one who took the LAST copy of the Professional Edition, at about 11:00 local time. It was the one on the shop-window.

There are plenty of copies of the Standard Edition but nobody seems to pay attention. Everyone asks for the Pro. I was the last lucky guy...

The price was 25900GRD, about $69,8 or 47,3GBP

Cheers, I have a plane to fly....

I have a question:

When I go to order Xplane, it says what scenery package do i want? america, europe, or asia or all three of them for 100 dollars. if i get america, does that mean i can only fly within america?

Well.

The X-Plane CD has the USA and you get to pick one other scenery CD since all the scenery won't fit on one CD anymore.

You can fly places but if you don't have the scenery CD for it, it will just be water.  Smile

I have it and it's awesome!! You can get the airports crowded, I had to wait in line to land. Also, I like to stake myself a great spot in the tower view, and watch all the planes land and takeoff. It has graphics better than ever, and the cockpit is realistic!

To u people who's asking if it will be slow: It is based on the graphics engine from Combat FS2 so it will be a heck lot faster than FS2000. I'm counting on being able to run it with some medium detail on my Celeron 333 with 64mb ram and Voodoo 3. But the thing i'm most excited about is Autogen and that MS finally gives us ATC(the atc is said to kick some serious a** btw). Now you'r not alone in the skies anymore! I also heard it will be released next week (worldwide?).

I wonder why it's not worldwide yet. It's here in Minnesota, there are lots of Professional and Standard Editions out. It's the best flight sim yet, I can't stop playing it. It's fast, well at least on my computer, I have a Pentium 4 1.5 ghz with 64mb card, and it's awesome. Today, I tried screwing with ATC, and I taxiied onto a runway when a Dash-8 was on final, and they were like watch out!! And it missed me by few inches, and made this awesome landing. Well, I think I am gonna go play it now, I hope you guys get it soon! If you don't, YOU ARE MISSING OUT!
