FS 2002 Frame Rates

Fri Oct 26, 2001 12:46 pm

What helps improve FS 2002 Frame rates. I don't want to have to sacrifice the display quality very much. Thanks for your help.

Depends on what you are getting now, and how much you want...
Also your system specs...

I just got FS2k2, in a roundabout way, but with everything at max, visibility at 10 below 10000 and 60 above 10k, and no animated water, I'm getting 10-15 smooth FPS.

It's strange because with all display setting cranked up I'm getting anywhere from 8-20, not bad, but even when is shows good frame rates, it's really choppy. I don't get it. Can somebody give me the remedy for this problem?

OK, what is your 3- card capability? Is it 16mb? 32?

Do you know what brand it is?

Do you even have video card?

What is your ram?

Processor speed?

Any one of these could be a contributor.

Can't Get FS 2002 To Perform On My Comp...help!

Mon Oct 29, 2001 5:47 am

I have a Dell Dimension XPS B933 with 130 megs of ram a NVIDIA GEForce2 GTS Graphics card with 64 mb of onboard memory and I have a pentium III processor. FS 2002 cranked up with 1024-768-16 settings is getting awful performance, especially when I download real world weather. Also, which pixel and color settings was FS 2002 designed for? I know FS 2000 was 1024-768-16bit or 800-600-16bit. I can't figure it out for FS 2002. Are there drivers I could download somewhere? If anyone can help improve performance without loosing a lot of graphics, it'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot!
