I Cannot Run FS2000 On My Computer!?

Tue Nov 06, 2001 5:56 pm

Hi,

I could get the FS2000 at eBay for a reasonable price.
Yesterday I installed it but it is not running on my computer ?! After clicking on the FS2000 icon there is a short media of Microsoft and after that my computer comes to a halt... I have to restart it as nothing is working anymore.

I have a Pentium III 700 MHz, 256 MB RAM, ELSA Erazor II LT.

Any suggestions ?

Thanks,
Fabian

ELSA Erazor II LT? Never heard of that video card, could very well be causing your problems. Then again im a little behind of recent accelerators. Try getting new drivers for it and see if that cures the problem. You could also upgrade directX to version 7 if you have something older. I dont trust DX8 so I cannot recomend instaling it.

Get the latest patches for MS2K. This should sort out your problem.  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

It does sound like a videoproblem when switching modes between the startup video and the main screen.
Try running windowed instead of fullscreen and see if you can turn off the introduction animation.

Yea, go and get a new video card. They are fairly in expensive and are easy to install yourself.
