FS 2002 Joystick Problems

Mon Nov 19, 2001 7:52 am

Hi guys, I hope somebody can help.

I have had problems with FS2002 using my Logitech Wingman Force 3d Joystick. The calibrations seems to be all wrong with FS 2002 - the throttle lever, when put to max only gives about 80% throttle and the controls are ludicrously over sensitive. I have used the windows control panel to calibrate the thing (as FS2002 takes you to there when you want to calibrate it) but nothing seems to work.

Does anybody have any idea what the trouble might be?

I used to think the brain is the most fascinating part of my body. But, hey, who is telling me that?

Hmmmm, ok first calibrate the joystick through the software that came with it. Second if that dosent work, reinstall the software and try it.

BTW I use MS Sidewinder Force Feedback 2

I want to get a MS Sidewinder Myself, What are its Performance Levels, Is it easily controllable. Does it feel like you are actually piloting an AIRBUS?

I got FS2002 about a month ago. I had the FS2000 before that. I have the microsoft sidewinder presicion. In the 2000 version the stick was great, and the computer interpreted all the move ments of the stick perfectly. However FS2002 sometimes does not listen to how i move the stick. It just keeps flying for 5 seconds until it reponds to your move again. This happens seldom.

I have tried several joysticks and the only one that seems to be good is the PC Raider. It it pretty cheap looking but Man is it good!
