Wooster Models

Fri Dec 07, 2001 2:44 am

I decided to dig out my old Wooster model collection today and was surprised at how good the condition of them is after all these years. I forgot what I had in my collection and was quite impressed - Some of these models must be rare by now, here's the list of 'em:

1. Air Europe Boeing 757-200 (Purchased on board G-BKRM, 1988!)
2. British Airways Boeing 757-200 (Old c/s)
3. British Airways DC-10-30 srs (old c/s)
4. British Airways B767-300ER (old c/s)
5. Frontier Airlines 737-200 (The ORIGINAL Frontier orange/white c/s)
6. Piedmont Airlines B737-300 (Nice c/s)
7. Britannia Airways B767-200ER
8. Air 2000 B757-200 (Old c/s)
9. LTS B757-200
10. United B747-100 (old c/s)
11. British Airways B737-200 (70's 'British' c/s)
12. Lauda Air B737-300
13. Air UK Leisure B737-400
14. Saudia Lockheed L-1011 TriStar (old c/s)
15. Saudia B747-300 (old c/s)
16. British Midland B707-320 (very old c/s)
17. JAL B747-400 (Current c/s)

All of them have display stands and the majority still have the boxes they came in. The average age must be 10-11 years old by now, but I've cleaned the dust off them and they look great.

Anyone else got any Wooster models? If so, what do you think of them?

Just wondering 'WestJet_737' you said that you got a West Jet 737 model. Is it one of the plastic ones? If so what brand and scale is it? I have been trying to find a big WJA model for a long time.

Thanks,

There are 2 WJ plastic models out the 737-200 and the 737-700. Yep it's plastic, both 1:200 scale i think. There seem to be no brand-defining features. No instructions either, just a box with a plane.

I bought the plane in a little shop at Calgary Intl. called "Just Plane Fun". You may want to contact Westjet, they may be able to help you out.

Anyone have the really old colors (70's scheme) British Airways 747 Wooster? I have been looking for a model like that for quite some time.

Britannia 767-200 (in the old red/blue cs from the early 80's with wheels before Britannia decided to change livery for the new wide bodied arrival, so a Wooster model that never flew!! Rare? )
Britannia 737-200 (90's colours)
Britannia 767 (90's colours)
Orion Airways 737-200 (the first model I owned)
Orion Airways 737-300

I also randomly have a large (ie big Travel Agent model in window scale) of a British Caledonian DC10 (with cutaway) as my grandfather was a travelagent and he nicked it for me. Thats very groovy!

Thats all I can remember. I plan to take digital pics of them and will email to anyone who wants to see. When I get round to it.
