Sat Dec 29, 2001 10:37 am

I'm very much interested in purchasing all available scale models of the fleet of Olympic Airways but I can't find anywhere good (I found a couple of sites selling plastic models but not painted good).I've tried Olympic itself and also during flight but still nothing. Please help me.Thanks.

Wooster did make Olympic 1/200, 1/250 scale models.
They made 747-200, 737-200 and A300.
I have the 737-200.
Some shops may still have some old stock of these.

Hi, if you are intrested in 1:500 modeels, herpa has made a very nice Olympic A340, It is new generation, wich means that it's extra good, have true to scale landing gears etc.

Modelair/Nostalgair make the B737-200 and YS-11 in OA old colours in 1:200 scale.

They are planning to release the B727-200 later this year.

Check them out at www.modelair.com.au

Thanks for your help.I've found all models from Herpa,Wooster and Starjets.I didn't like that they were painted in the old colours of Olympic.Although Herpa and Wooster (the second much better than Herpa I think) make larger scale models I found Starjets' A340 by far better (metalic and detailed painted). But much smaller. Can you tell me those who already have, if 1:500 scale is very small ? Do you suggest me to go for plastic 1:400 Wooster (or Herpa) or metal 1:500 Starjets for the A340 ? For the rest (717,732,734,742,A300) I don't have a choice because only Herpa and Wooster make them but with old colours and plastic. You would be very helpful if you could answer.Thank you.
