Best Airport For Spotting

Sun Jan 06, 2002 12:36 am

In your opinion, what is your favorite airport to go spotting? I was just spotting (again) at Tokyo Narita today, and I was in heaven. 90% of the planes there are 747's and 777's. They only have one runway (for now anyway, they just finished building a second) so all the action is right there in front of terminal 1. The obersvation deck is really nice, the only thing I dont like is the fence that is in the way. What does everyone here think?

Well, i havent had much experience spotting (yet  Wink/being sarcastic )

But i'd have to say LHR, the spotting deck is right in the middle of the airport, and when the planes are landing/taking off on 27L/9R, thats my definition of heaven.

Did u take any pics??
