Some FS Questions

Sat Jan 19, 2002 6:54 pm

1. How long on average does it take you to fly long hauls, lets say SIN-LHR or LHR-LAX or SYD-LAX.

2. I just finished a short flight from KUL-SIN (FS2000Pro). My plane was the only one in the airports. How can you make aircraft go around airports?
Is it available on in FS2002?

1) Depends on the distance... Flew London-Tokyo last week, which at 13 hours was the longest single flight I've ever done. Normally I don't do flights of more than 2-3 hours. If you have a realistic routing, the flight time should be more or less the same as the real thing.

2) In FS2002, you get groundtraffic as well as aircraft buzzing you all through the flight. Traffic type and density are dependent on the region where you're flying (and on time of day as well, you'll see less light aircraft at night for example).

For that you need a 3rd party addon. Get FSTraffic from Lago (http://www.lagoonline.com). Commercialware, but well worth the money and considered one of the few addons that are essential to FS2000 (in fact, it has become almost expected that scenery designers include data for the program, it is that widespread).
