My Future FS Project(s)

Mon Jan 21, 2002 9:41 am

Hi everyone,
Since I'm not too busy with school these days, I thought I could start creating an aircraft for FS2002. I would start to build the aircraft from scratch using gmax.

I think that the best thing is to ask the public about the aircraft that they want. So I ask everyone to vote for an aircraft. I will build the aircraft that gets the more votes.

Here are the some choices:
-Lockheed L1011 Tristar
-Airbus A310-200/300
-McDonnell Douglas DC-9
-Classic 737s (series 300 and 500)
-Boeing 767-200
-Saab 340

(Other suggestions are welcomed.)

Thanks

crank I would love to see a tristar. Also I think that a good DC-10 would be nice.
Will you do panels too?

How about a Dornier 328? A 737-300 would be cool too.

Deltaalpha,
there is no need to create a DC-10 at the moment because the FFG one is so nice, and it was painted in lots of liveries, you can even search on http://www.flightsim.com/, http://www.fsplanet.com/ or http://www.avsim.com/ for other repaints. The FFG website URL is http://www.avsim.com/ffg.

Cramos,
The Euroflight Group http://www.avsim.com/euroflight/ are doing the Dornier 328 right now so I will not be doing it, I try to focus on planes that haven't been done yet.

I have a livery I wouldn't mind you to create if it isn't to tricky I will send it to you!!

Braniffplace created it. I installed gmax but it will not work

What we really lack is a Fairchild/Dornier 528jet, 728jet, and 1128jet. And I think those would be great additions to any FS library. Anything regional would be great.

I also think it is appropriate to dedicate time to a project that hasn't already been done, but if you think you can improve it go for it... But what do I know? It probably takes tons of know how to design a plane.

Lockheed L1011 Tristar - There aren't any good ones avaliable though Marc Beck is currently working on one in FSDS
Airbus A310-200/300 - EFG is doing a 312 and when PFG return there will be an updated 313 with lots of liveries
McDonnell Douglas DC-9 - PFG is comming back soon with an updated version of their DC-9 with lots of liveries also note that CSi will be doing one.
Classic 737s (series 300 and 500) - Yet again, PFG is updating their 733 for FS2002 and will return with
Boeing 767-200 - There's a pretty good one (for FS2000/FS2002) avaliable currently
Saab 340 - An excellent one is avaliable. No need for more of this type.

So you can choose either the L1011 or 735!

In addition to my earlier post, there has yet to be a good A318(None done or planned),A319(No good freeware ones) and B731(Probably never will be! Good opportuity here!) for FS2000/FS2002. Perhaps you might want to take those into consideration!

Sorry for having to post yet again but there also isn't a good B747SP around... IADG was doing one but closed before it was ever finished. The last good one was for FS2000 built in FSDS. Frankly I don't find the model accurate.

If you are going to get into the heavies, there has not been a C-5 since FS98. It would be great to have one in FS2K2.

Fokker/VFW 614.
There has been no model of that one since FS5 I think. Mind that there are only 4 airworthy examples left in the world today  Crying of an aircraft less than 30 years old.

That Canadian 731 you were talking about is way below the quality of what FS2002 aircraft can be. It was originally made for FS98...

I'll start making my L1011 next sunday (the 27th), and I'll give you guys some updates as I advance through the project.

A good looking Jetstream 31/32 would be soooooo nice, bacause I can't find any good ones on the net...

And BTW, both FFG and simflight design is making the Saab 340, and Posky will make the 767-200. And I think PFG has made a nice A310...

Hey Crank, can you make up planes that don't exist? I don't have any versions of FS, my computer is too primitive, if I post three views of a plane, can you make it?

An A330!!!  Big thumbs up
I do not like the CamSim ones very much,...
or a 767-300/400 or a 757-200/300...

no need for an A330, POSKY are making the -300 and another group is making the -200. They also have the 767-300 and -400, and the 757 is also in the making.

there's a need for L1011s...
Moving Part Design has a cool A310
AFG is on the DC-9
there are like 20 different versions of the 737s
POSKY has a cool 767
FFG is doing a nice Saab 340

I'm bored of jets...why dont you make a Pilatus PC-12 or twin Cessnas??
