I've got one board game that is called " Schiphol Airport" (or something like it). It is a nice game were you have to go from schihol plaza to, check-in, customs, gate, go to your destination and back. But I am afraid it is only in Dutch language.

The Monopoly-guys should develop a special 'Airport'-version, don't you think?

Super Nintendo used to have a game called Aerobiz. I used to love that game. I would like to see a PC version and of course upgraded version of that game some day.

There is a Monopoly like game, called Airpoly. Instead of Houses and Hotels, it uses Terminals and ILS. The principles is exactly the same as in Monopoly.

Sr176:

Is it as exciting as is the normal Monopoly game? It would be fun, that one would have to pay the other when 'landing' on his airport  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

GR325,

Where can I buy the "Schiphol Airport" game?
Seems to be a cute game.
And.... I know Dutch fluently.

Thanks for replying

I got a PC game called AIRLINE for Christmas and it's really great. Come from some company in Australia, perhaps a bit complicated because of all the detail but great fun. Spent most of my Christmas break playing it, quite addictive, I spend my time in class planning new routes. Lucky I am studying aviation management  Smile/happy/getting dizzy.

When I bought it, I bought it at "World of Wings" at schiphol plaza. IT was about 70 guilders then. I hope they still got them. It is a nice game.

I am making Airline board game myself (with computer), it will be something like Monopoly but different. You and other players would have 1 base city (Vilnius in my case) and would have to buy rights to fly to other cities. Other cities would be listed on tiles like streets in Monopoly. Each country has two or three cities (like color in Monopoly). Of course, if someone has monopoly to flights to one country, he will get better profits. Each city has not only size (the profit), but also range. You would have to buy planes (Boeing, Airbus and other aircraft factories will be at three corners of board, in places of Jail, Go to Jail and free parking) and launch them on routes. When you cross start (Go in Monopoly and Fly in this game), you wouldn't get 200, instead, you would get profit for your flights (you would get a few profits despite of did other players flown your flights). You could improve your flights to other cities by buying different things there (instead of homes): your own desk at airport, bus shuttles to city, hotel, restricted terminal and commuter airline in that country. If opponent stops on your city, he has to charter your flight. The cost depends on various things, like your service at airport you're flying to, city's quality. Instead of chances and community chest there would be news and suggestions. News would say something good or bad, while suggestions would suggest you to do various risky things, which you may refuse (like open illegal route to Baghdad to transport uran to Saddam), but if you agree, you will get much money OR various sanctions (if FAA wil understand that you are transporting uran to Hussein, you might be banned from all western airports for some turns) and loss.
