Which Virtual Airline Do You Fly For?

Sun Feb 17, 2002 10:31 pm

Having only had FS2002 for 2 weeks, I am totally hooked on it!!

I want to join a virtual airline but don't know which one to join. Who do you fly for and why?

Cheers

I used to fly for Air Wisconsin as a BAe 146 and CRJ pilot. Now I fly for Sun Country, we can use any plane, go to www.suncountryva.com, they give you a schedule and route to fly, it's great, I feel it's more realistic than most other VA's!

I fly (and have for the last year) fly for TradeWind Caribbean, http://www.tradewind.org
One of the oldest (nearing 7 years of age) VAs and one of the largest (nearing 1000 members).
We fly mainly in the Caribbean and Central America, but we have codeshares with KLM, LTU and LAN Chile.
Departments have been set up in Greece, Venezuela and Alaska.
Currently planned is a new dedicated seaplane department and a possible revival of the helicopter and Hawaiian departments.

Current fleet is mainly FS2000 aircraft. The majority of those work fine in FS2002.
FS2002 aircraft are now rolling off the production line as well, with emphasis being given on quality rather than quantity.

FS2002 compatible fleet include:
DHC2T Turbo Beaver + float version
Cessna Caravan + amphib
Boeing 747-400
Boeing 707-300 cargo (3 liveries)
compatible FS2002 aircraft include:
Boeing 727-200
Douglas DC9-34
Boeing 767-300
Douglas MD-90
Jetstream 41
Pilatus PC12

and others (that's what I have installed in officially released aircraft).
I'm working on more (together with the rest of the fleet management team).
I wish I were flying

I have flown for many VAs...

In my past, I flew for,

.Pakistan International Airlines (closed.)
.Aero Asia (closed.)
.American West (boring.)

Now I fly for,

.Noble Asia (www.datahosts.com/sin/index.html) This is the best. They let you fly aircraft of your choice and to where you want...

.Saudi Arabian VA (Even though I didn't fly for them for some months, they didn't kick me out so I owe them. I fly for them) www.sv-virtual.com

.Virtual Air Malta (They fly using 737 200 and B720, my favorite aircraft)...www.amv-group.com

I fly for Cyber-Air, I used to fly for Pacific West but I didn't like how you could just pick a route and fl y it. With Cyber-Air you have to bid each week on a route served by a certain plane. It has been going for 7 years and is one of the originals.
