How To Dial In Com Frequencies Yourself?

Mon Feb 18, 2002 4:36 am

I have read somewhere that u can instead of letting the ATC system dial in the right frequency every time u are handed over by ATC, do it yourself manually in the radio stack. Is this true and where does one change this setting? Would be more realistic.

yes, you can (in fact I usually do so).
Open the radiostack on the panel (if needed, the radios could be in the main panel) and change COM1 to the new frequency.
You can even buy a box you can put next to your screen where you turn dials to change the frequency like on a real panel.
I wish I were flying
