Touch And Go

Tue Feb 19, 2002 3:06 am

In FS2002 there is an option while landing called "touch and go". What is that? The aircraft lands and continues moving? (taxi)?

You just touch the ground and take off again

777-200 is right, touch and goes are perfect for practicing. I do them all the time, and I'm very glad the feature is available in FS2k2.

All aircraft do this including large jets, I've seen Virgin A340's doing touch and go at my local airport, East Midlands.

Touch and go is, as said above touch the ground, full power and take off again.
Why?
It saves time, if you land, taxi to the end of the runway and then take off again then you are wasting 5-10 minutes taxiing. Touch and Go allows you to continuously practice landings and take-offs without having to taxi back each time.

whoa i didnt know the real bu g smashers did it. they must make pretty wide downwinds.hehehehe
i have to see that. would be funny. i guess its possible for its what happens when u go around.
touch and goes arent a simplee touch downa and then full power and go.
u have to keep lined up, put flaps back, talk, and fly.
