Can Somebody Help Me With This Callsign?

Sun Feb 24, 2002 2:20 am

Hi there

As so often when the weather is lousy outside, I spent a few hours listening to ATC-transmissions of traffic crossing swiss airrspace;

I normally have no problems identifying those aircraft, but one callsign I heard today still makes me think:

It was: VVJM101 (Victor-Victor-Juliett-Mike-101);

Does anyone know the operator of this etc.?

Thanks for the replies.

It sounds to me to be a private plane. No American airlines that I know use that call sign.

Ive heard also "VVJMSE1" it turned out that it was a USAFE Metro IV, aircraft with the VVJM callsign are usually based in Italy.They carry diplomatic mail for the US embassies around Europe..
Hope it answers your question.
