Broken Radio - Where Can I Get It Fixed?

Sun Apr 07, 2002 4:38 am

Hi all

My scanner needs some work to make it operable. Any suggestions where I can get it fixed in the UK?

Cheers, G-CIVP

Bring it to a dealer for the brand you have. Most likely it will need to go back to the manufacturer or importer.
Do get a price quote first, especially if it is out of warranty. Sometimes repairs can get more expensive than replacing the entire unit (in which case you'll get a replacement unit but pay the repair bill unless you got that quote and decided to just buy a new one).

Its a simple repair - no need to go back to the importer/manufacturer - but I don't want to attempt it!

Cheers Donder 10 - I'll check them out.

EHAM - as for the cost - well it varies. I have a Sony ICF-PRO80 - purchased in 1989. Its alright but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
