Hi,

thanks for those nice screenshots. Now, I don't want to offend you or so, but apart from the 3rd one or so, they don't really look realistic to me.

I think you added waaayyy too much light, don't you think? And, also, how did you resized your screenshots? The diagonal lines and so are not really straight, they're just more a collection of horizontal lines, you know what I mean?

But, of course, that's just my personal opinion...that's it. Once again, I'm just trying to give you some good advice, instead of offending you...

I'm sorry about the light thing. But the only way to make the screenshot the most realistic is to add lots of light, otherwise, it would look like regular flightsim. Flightsim is far from real, and it's hard to make the flightsim screenshots realistic.

Thanks.

Personally, I think they look less realistic than non-edited screen shots.

Hoons, all the pictures are blurred. Only the VS742 taxiing looks real.

Most of it comes down to playing the game in 1600x1200x32. Then I just copied it into Adobe Photoshop 7.0 and applied some sharpening and Auto Colors.

Thanks!

This is about the most realistic one that I have had while playing. I find that in the middle of the day the aircraft and ground textures look too "cartoon" like to be remotely realistic. A lot depends on the original textures too, like most of the posky or Mike Stone aircraft are perfectly clean, which just doesn't happen in reality.

Wietse's not realistic. The colors and sharpness is excellent, but which B747 will take off without flaps? Big grin

Cheers!

Hey Mr. BA, Flaps slow the plane down...I always want it to go as fast as it can...so I take off without flaps ALWAYS!  Big thumbs up

Hey Mr. BA, Flaps slow the plane down...I always want it to go as fast as it can...so I take off without flaps ALWAYS!

if you use no flaps on take off, you have LESS lift, which forces you to use more pavement. takeoff distances will be less if you use 2 or 3 notches of flaps. Flaps slow down the plane a little bit, but when you use them you get up in the air faster than if you wouldn't use them, it also reduces the nose pitch and avoids stalling.

Flaps is compulsory for landings and take-offs. It provides more lift at slower speeds. A half load B747-400 might not make it on a 4000m runway without flaps and anyway on the B744 you can't take-off without flaps/flaps at the wrong setting, the computer prevents it. But you can do anything you like with FS!

Cheers VE!

hehehehe, was wondering when someone would notice the flaps thing!!
Actually I started the flight with another aircraft, and changed a/c when just off the ground to give the best shot. But when you change a/c flaps settings are back to default, so the flaps were at 0 again... Big thumbs up

In that BA screenshot I took, I tookoff with 3 notch of flaps (5 degrees) that's the most you should do for liftoff in a 737.

It's actually an MD-90, I think I got it at Flightsim.com but I am not certain.

I do know that it is a FS2000 aircraft, but it works fine in 2k2.

There is a DL MD-90 in the old-old livery at http://www.alliedfsgroup.com
But there is another MD-80, also made and painted by the Allied FS Group in Delta's New-New Livery.

Nice shots there Omegous, but get rid of that terrible Delta jet and replace it with some beautiful National 757s, lol  Smile

cmon, It deserves a plug. I'm bored and it took me ages to fly in circuits until I got this, wasn't paused or in slew or anything, no modifications in photoshop except resizing.

Dont know, just play the game at the highest res + 32bit colors, then simply resize it to 800xsomething in Photoshop 7.

Those wingshots are pretty cool! what model is it?

I agree with 777-300 Fan, those "screen shits" are the best!
Someday, we'll look back at this, laugh nervously, and then change the subject.
