New FFG Website + Learjet 35A

The FFG website has been redisigned and they have released the Learjet 35A

That Learjet 35 looks real good  Big thumbs up I just love the private jets, the default Learjet 45 on FS2002 is on of my favourite planes to fly (next to the 747's and other widebody planes) I'm going to wait before I download the 35 and read some reviews of the plane first.


I would love it if I could get a Gulfstream V to download.

Here's a review for ya: IT ROCKS!!! What a great airplane! I downloaded it as soon as I saw it.

I'm a bizjet fan too. I will usually fly one of three (now four) airplanes: The King Air, the Learjet 45, the Beech Baron (not a bizjet, but still cool) and now the Learjet 35. The airliners don't get much attention from me. I've yet to fly the 747 on a complete flight, and the 777 at all. And I've had FS2k2 for a few months now.

I too would like to see a good FS2k2 version of a Gulfstream IV or V. Also, I'd love to see a good Citation. And you know what would be really cool? A good version of the Gulfstream G200 (Galaxy) and a Falcon 50 or/and 2000.

Yeah, I love bizjets.

There's a great Falcon 50 by Yannick Lavigne, it's one of the best aircraft I've seen for flight simulator, check out http://www.avsim.com for it

Hey, I took that new Learjet 35 out. Hand flew an ILS approach in actual IMC. It worked great!

Well that's the price to pay for good quality, the 17MBs are well worth it.

P.S. Get a Cable or DSL modem !

Ok, I'm downloading it now. I'm super excited.

As far as Cable and DSL goes, I don't need it 99% of the time. Plus, believe it or not, Cable still isn't available in this part of the country. Crazy eh?

I'm really starting to enjoy this aircraft after flying her on long flights, I just ended a flight to Chicago and and I think that she'll become my #1 bizjet.

In a word? Extremely. I took her for a test ride today from New Orleans to Orlando Executive. I set the weather for 2 miles visability and rain, and hand flew the ILS runway 7 approach without the autopilot. (The flight dynamics on FS2k2 are so good that I can fly a better ILS myself than the APR feature on the autopilot can). The 35 responded very well to small corrections of pitch and bank, and wasn't prone to localizer and glideslope excursions.

Yeah, I'd say she handles well.

Tommorow, I'm going to try it in my new Falcon 50 (which is worth every mb of the 17, by the way).

I just downloaded the 35A now, and going to take a short flight with it to see how it flies Big grin


NormalSpeed.....Your a biz jet fan also right? Then check out this link http://www.pcaviator.com.au/shop/executivejets1.htm It's for FS2002 and has the Cessna Citation X and the Hawker 800XP biz jets! I think I'm going to order this program!

Did they make this Learjet 35 to have opening cabin doors? On mine the main door doesn't open.

My main door doesn't open either. The only place I've seen that with an add-on is with repaints of the original.

Unless you count those which the door opens with the engine/lights on or off.

On the web site they have a update for the first 3 Learjet 35 models, I just downloaded the update. Now my question is what do I do with it? Do I just move it into the Learjet 35 folder that is in the fs2002 aircraft folder?

Ok, I just downloaded the update too. It looks like it's just a replacement air file. Just replace the one that's already in the aircraft's folder with the new one. Out of the first three, I only downloaded 825LJ, so, I opened up 5LJ's file in Microsoft's "aircraft" folder, and just put the updated air file in. It asked me if I wanted to replace, and I said yes. That's it. Pretty simple, eh?

I'm also downloading, even as we speak, one of the new LJ35s - N3794U... Looks pretty cool.

Did you see on the site, it says they will be adding new Learjets this weekend!  Big thumbs up

Crank.........How did you get that Learjet 35 virtual cockpit view? When I switched to the virtual cockpit view there was no cockpit, just the view.

I've been asking myself the same question. I tried to go into it with Aircraft Editor, but FFG or whoever made it so you can't alter any of the aircraft's info.
So, I guess I just figured I'd deal with it. It's just a simulator. It doesn't have to be absolutely accurate.

I just downloaded and flew a night flight from Duluth (DLH) to Minneapolis (MSP), which took 42 minutes! Lemme tell you, WOW! That plane is AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME! It handles good, looks good, and flies great! Great job FFG, I'm gonna download the other ones!
