Soon to be Pilot:
Unk if Mr Mattocks in an A.net member--his table is usually the 1st Left table as you enter the room....a real nice guy..his wife helps him run the show..ask him.
Yes,,,,you can buy just about anything....YOU are the buyer-All you have to do is find what you want-and if it's a little higher than want you want to pay..just ask for a lessor amount, they can say yes or no..! Of course that gives you the chance to roam the room and search for other dealers who may be willing to 'deal' a little better,,,,,I do it all the time.....most dealers have a real "mix" of items...you'll see when you get there...then shop the room quick and zero in on people you want to buy from and start bartering...many dealers have many multiple items and will start high 1st..then will bargain,,believe me..!
So yes, to expand your collection-shop the room, but don't take too long as someone may buy what you really want before you get back to the table....prices will vary greatly.......it's also a way to see what your stuff is worth...many of the SEA dealers have been to our SFO show and they are very nice and will work with you......don't worry. So, you may have to spend a few hours there to 'work' the dealers down towards the end of the day, but if you get there to late...good stuff is gone..!!
I've put my SJC Alien name on my name tag and have seen a few people from A.net...........so it's not a big deal anyway-if people want to say Hi , they will...if not,,,,no biggie...
You're starting to sound like me and my collection...you have some good items and categories....keep it up.....I've been collecting Airline stuff since 1960's when we lived in Seattle above BFI.....(our house is now NB I-5 and Swift Ave)
so it is a fun hobby-just don't go overboard or you'll have toooo many items)
Enjoy the show........you luckies.....I'll be there next year .
If you have any further questions about the show/dealers/etc, feel free to ask here of contact thru profile..
