You right click on the START icon,go into C drive , Program Files , Microsoft Games , FS2002 , aircraft , then right click on the one you want to delete, then click delete. It sends it to the recycle bin.

Maybe it's large because you have re-copied original sound/panel files.
Instead of actualy using the original (737 as an example) sound file and recopying all the sounds to the new plane, you can have an alias sound.cgf that simply access the 737's sound an does not need a copy of the sounds in that folder. email me if you need more info...
With well over a hundred aircraft in the data base the file MUST be trimmed down. I carefully last night went through all the aircraft I have deleting those that I never fly or disliked or were not in my AI. Much more space now.
